Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St.,
Elkader, IA
Present: Larry Gibbs, Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner
A public hearing was held upon a budget amendment to the fiscal year
ending June 30, 2009. No objections were heard. Motion by Gibbs,
seconded by Bockenstedt, to adopt the amendment as published for fiscal
year ending June 30, 2009. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve an amendment to the
IDOT Secondary Road budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009.
Ayes:
Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Wendy Mihm-Herold, Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission, and
Darla Kelchen, Clayton County Development Group, discussed forming a
Northeast Iowa Regional Housing Trust Fund.
Motion by Bockenstedt, seconded by Gibbs, to authorize the chairman to
sign a contract for an EZ housing contract. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt,
Keehner
Tim Engelhardt and Joe Ihm, County Conservation, and two Iowa DNR
representatives discussed the proposed change to Mississippi Road and
how it affects the jeweled shooting star plant and the mining operation
affect to the bluffs along the Mississippi River.
