Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St.,
Elkader, IA
Present: Larry Gibbs, Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner
A public hearing was held with no objections heard regarding a budget
amendment. Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Bockenstedt, to amend the year
ending June 30, 2009 budget as published. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt,
Keehner
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve resolution #
16-2009 regarding change of appropriations due to budget amendments.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that
the following appropriation changes are made to the respective
department for fiscal year ending June 30, 2009 as adopted in the budget
amendment and as presented in the following table:

Motion by Bockenstedt, seconded by Gibbs, to authorize the County
Auditor to transfer residual funds in the County Jail Capital Project
Fund to the County Jail Debt Service Fund. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt,
Keehner
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Bockenstedt, to abate the mobile home taxes
of Jayne Pitzer, Stacie Jones, and Bambi Wedemier because the mobile
homes are no longer in Clayton County. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Bockenstedt, to grant to Louis Eberhardt a
3.4 % wage increase plus union benefits and a $.40/ hr increase
to$1.00/hr for Weed Commissioner starting July 1, 2009. Ayes: Gibbs,
Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Bockenstedt, to grant all other full-time
nonunion hourly wage earners a 3.4% wage increase plus other union
benefits except the Assistant to the Engineer a 1.7% wage increase July
1, 2009 and a 1.7% wage increase on January 1, 2010, due to being a new
employee at the discretion of the County Engineer plus union benefits.

Motion by Bockenstedt, seconded by Gibbs, to grant Mark Fischer an
additional week of vacation for fiscal year ending June 30, 2010, in
lieu of a wage rate increase plus union benefits. Ayes: Gibbs,
Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Bockenstedt, seconded by Gibbs, to grant a 3.4% increase plus
union benefits to Trampus Thornton, Harlan Thurn, and Rafe Koopman for
fiscal year ending June 30, 2010. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Bockenstedt, seconded by Gibbs, to authorize the chairman to
sign a contract with River City Paving for asphalting the City of
Clayton streets with 50% reimbursement from the city. Ayes: Gibbs,
Bockenstedt, Keehner
