Present: Larry Gibbs, Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner
A public hearing was held on a proposed resolution regarding a transfer of interest in a portion of abandoned railroad right-of-way in Cox Creek Township.
Don Mork was present for the public hearing. No objections were heard. Motion by Keehner, seconded by Gibbs, to approve resolution # 13-2008 regarding a transfer of interest in abandoned railroad right-of-way to Don Mork. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Resolution #13-2008
WHEREAS, Clayton County, acquired a property interest to the following described real estate:
All that portion of the abandoned right-of-way of the Chicago-Milwaukee-St.Paul and Pacific Railroad Company lying in Lot One of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and Lot One of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, and in the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and Lot One of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter in Section 22, all in Township 92 North, Range 5, West of the 5th P.M., in Clayton County, Iowa
WHEREAS, Don K. Mork is desirous of clearing title on his property as described above,
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 331.361(2) of the CODE OF IOWA, 2007, notice of a public hearing is published in the Clayton County Register on July 2, 2008, for a hearing to be held on July 9, 2007,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that the Board Chairman, Wayne Bockenstedt, and County Auditor, Dennis Freitag, be authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed to Don K. Mork for said real estate.
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Keehner, to approve the quarterly report of fees collected by the County Recorder, County Auditor and County Sheriff. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Keehner, seconded by Gibbs, to suspend the property taxes of Laura Ihde, Monona, for fiscal year ending June 30, 2009. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
