A date of February 20, 2008, was set for a public hearing for environmental concerns on the Scenic Acres wastewater treatment plant repairs.
Motion by Keehner, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve resolution #1-2008 regarding authorization of transfer of funds for fiscal year ending June 30, 2008.

Resolution # 1-2008
WHEREAS, July 1, 2007, began a new fiscal year and new budget,
WHEREAS, because of legal restrictions in regard to budgeting and the use of levies it becomes necessary to make operating transfers between funds,
WHEREAS, the County Auditor monitors the need for these transfers,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that Dennis Freitag, County Auditor, is authorized to make operating transfers as prescribed by and in accordance with the adopted budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2008, as the need arises for such transfers throughout the year. Those budgeted amounts are:

Rural Services Basic Fund Secondary Road Fund $1,300,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Auditor is authorized to transfer not exceeding the following amounts in accordance with the County Assessor's Budget:

Assessor-FICA Fund County Assessor-Assessment Fund $12,300
Assessor-IPERS Fund County Assessor-Assessment Fund $9,700
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Auditor is authorized to make temporary Fund transfers (to be repaid within the same fiscal year) to prevent individual fund balances being negative and notify the Board of the transfer at their next meeting
The County Recorder certified the salary percentage of Deputy Recorder, Debra Tyer, at 64% effective for the payroll period starting January 1, 2008.
Motion by Keehner, seconded by Bockenstedt, to appoint Wayne Bockenstedt as the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and Randy Keehner as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. Ayes: Larry Gibbs, Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner
