Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, IA
Present: Larry Gibbs, Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner
Linda Lucy, representative from Senator Tom Harkin, was present to talk about the county’s road infrastructure. Funding for the county’s thirty seven deficient bridges and road maintenance in general was discussed.
The board approved claims for payment.
Motion by Keehner, seconded by Gibbs, to approve the quarterly report of fees of the County Recorder, County Auditor and County Sheriff. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Keehner, to authorize the Chairman and the County Auditor to sign the Department of Transportation Secondary Road Budget and Construction Program for fiscal year ending June 30, 2009. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
A conference call was made to John Danos, Dorsey & Whitney, regarding a development agreement with Willmark Energy for an ethanol plant. A draft will be drawn up and presented to Willmark Energy for their consideration.
