Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, IA.
Present: Larry Gibbs, Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner
A public hearing was held on the proposed fiscal year ending June 30, 2008 county budget. There were two persons from the public and five department heads present. The budget was explained and no objections were heard. Motion by Bockenstedt, seconded by Keehner, to adopt the county budget as published for fiscal year ending June 30, 2008 and approve the county compensation board’s recommendation of salaries for the elected officials as follows: Attorney $48,438; Auditor $42,682; Recorder $42,353;
Treasurer $42,353; Sheriff $53,815; Supervisors $25,433; and Supervisor Chair $25,683. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Keehner, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve the minutes of February 21, 26 and 28 and March 5 & 7, 2007. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
