Lauren Merritt was present to give the following report on the status of funds for the Clayton County CDBG Flood Grant:

This is the time and date for the Status of Funds Hearing on the Community Development Block Grant for Clayton County Flood Project.  This hearing is to update citizens on the progress.

The CDBG project involves the buying out, demolishing and returning to green property that was substantially damaged in the flood of May 2004.  This is in conjunction with funds obtained from FEMA and the hazard mitigation process.

As of January 1, 2007 there has been approximately $1,081,287 spent for project costs out of the original budget of $1,902,437 with the CDBG funds providing $161,745.

The project location has not changed and the objectives, project scope, project budget, beneficiaries, and performance targets remain the same.  The project currently has an Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) contract end date of May 31, 2007.
