Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, IA.

Present:  Larry Gibbs, Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner

The board approved claims for payment.

Motion by Bockenstedt, seconded by Keehner, to approve Grant Doeppke, Jed Jones, Jarett Landt, and John Bell as new active Sheriff’s Reserve Officers.

Motion by Keehner, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve resolution # 24-2007 regarding a stop sign placement at intersection of Partridge Road and Errthum Road.  Ayes:  Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner

Resolution 24 -2007

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County is empowered under authority of Sections 321.236, 321.255 and 321.345 of the Code of Iowa to erect STOP signs at specified entrance thereto, and

WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors of Clayton County desires to make the following road stop situation:

            Place stop sign to stop west bound traffic on Partridge Road at intersection with Errthum Road in Section 25 Millville Township, T91N, R2W, Clayton County, Iowa.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:  By the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County that the above described road has a STOP sign placed for the convenience, safety and welfare of the traveling public at the noted secondary road intersections.  Sign effective upon installation of the sign.

The board met with Kerry Erts, IGHCP representative, met with the board regarding the health insurance coverage of county employees.
