Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, IA. Present: Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner Absent: Larry Gibbs (vacation)
A public hearing was held for Dave Fenton’s rezoning request from A-1 to C-1 for property described as: (Approximately 1.27 acres located in Lot 1 of Lot 1 in the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 25, T92N, R6W, Sperry Township, Clayton County, Iowa). Applicant wishes to change the present zoning classification of A-1 (Agricultural) to the proposed zoning classification of C-1 (Commercial) to allow farm implement display, sales, service and repair. No objections were heard. The Planning & Zoning Commission’s decision was approval. Motion by Keehner, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve the first reading of the rezoning request of Dave Fenton from A-1 to C-1, for property described as: (Approximately 1.27 acres located in Lot 1 of Lot 1 in the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 25, T92N, R6W, Sperry Township, Clayton County, Iowa). A public hearing was held on the preliminary plat of Green Wood Subdivision. Applicants are Kirsten Michelsen and Lynn Rowell, for property described as: (Approximately 172.5 acres located in part of the S 1/2 of the NW 1/4 and most of the SW 1/4 all in Section 27, T91N, R5W, Lodomillo Township, Clayton County, Iowa). No objections were heard. The recommendations of the Planning & Zoning Commission will be complied with. Motion by Keehner, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve the preliminary plat of Green Wood Subdivision. Ayes: Bockenstedt, Keehner Absent: Gibbs
Motion by Keehner, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve resolution # 13 to advertise for bids for road rock. Ayes: Bockenstedt, Keehner Absent: Gibbs
Resolution # 13-2007 BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that the County Auditor be directed to advertise for bids on the following project: Project 2007-R-1 Approximately 92,800 tons Class “A” Crushed Stone for various roads in Clayton County.
Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 A.M., May 4, 2007 at the office of the County Auditor of Clayton County in the Courthouse in Elkader, Iowa.
A public hearing was held on the final plat of Brimeyer Place Subdivision. No objections were heard. The recommendation of the Planning & Zoning Commission was for approval. Motion by Keehner, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve resolution # 14-2007 regarding the final plat of Brimeyer Place. Ayes: Bockenstedt, Keehner Absent: Gibbs

Accepting the final plat of Brimeyer Place Subdivision
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, a plat of real property hereinafter designated as Brimeyer Place Subdivision and described as: Part of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, Part of the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 (excepting Lot 1 and Lot 2), and Part of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4, all in Section 2, T93N, R6W (Highland Township); and the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4, SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 and SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 all in Section 35, T94N, R5W, (Marion Township), all in Clayton County, Iowa,
WHEREAS, Tom Brimeyer Farms LLC as owner of said real property, has executed and acknowledged an instrument consenting to said plat,
WHEREAS, it appears that said plat complies with all requirements of Chapters 354 and 355 of the Code of Iowa,
WHEREAS, the Clayton County Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of said subdivision, affirming that it has complied with all the regulations of Clayton County, Iowa,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Clayton County Board of Supervisors that the Board approves as an official subdivision, the plat of real property to be known as Brimeyer Place Subdivision, (approximately 176.31 acres) situated in Clayton County, Iowa, and described as: Part of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, Part of the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 (excepting Lot 1 and Lot 2), and Part of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4, all in Section 2, T93N, R6W (Highland Township); and the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4, SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 and SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 all in Section 35, T94N, R5W, (Marion Township), all in Clayton County, Iowa.
