Motion by Meyer, seconded by Gibbs, to approve resolution # 31-2006 regarding the sale of real estate in Gifford’s Addition to the Town of Littleport. Ayes: Meyer, Gibbs
Resolution # 31-2006
WHEREAS, Clayton County, has a property interest to the following described real estate:
Lot 1 of Lot 1 of Block 1 of G. L. Gifford’s Addition to the Town of Littleport and Lot 7 in the SE Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 92 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M., Clayton County, Iowa
WHEREAS, the property has been deemed as surplus property and its best use would be attached to adjacent property,
WHEREAS, Jessica Ashline has offered to purchase the property for $50.00 plus all related expenses related to the sale,
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 331.361(2) of the CODE OF IOWA, 2005, notice of a public hearing is published in the Clayton County Register on September 20, 2006, for a hearing to be held on September 27, 2006,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that the Board Chairman, Larry Gibbs, and County Auditor, Dennis Freitag, be authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed to Jessica Ashline for said real estate.
Motion by Meyer, seconded by Gibbs, to approve resolution #32-2006 regarding advertising for bids on Project L-523-06. Ayes: Meyer, Gibbs

Be it hereby resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that the County Auditor be directed to advertise for bids on the following project:
L-523-06, Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert, located on Chariot Road in the northwest quarter of section 22, Boardman Township, T93N, R5W, Clayton County, Iowa. 431 cubic yards excavation class 10 roadway and borrow; .5 acre clearing and grubbing; 1.0 lump sum removal of existing structure; 79.0 cubic yard excavation class 23; 129.3 cubic yard structural concrete (RCB Culvert); 20299.0 pound reinforcing steel; 2 each safety closures; lump sum mobilization; lump sum traffic control. Bids will be received until 9:00 AM October 12, 2006, at the office of the County Engineer in the County Office Building in Elkader, IA.
Motion by Meyer, seconded by Gibbs, to approve the tax suspension request of Marvin Buchheit for taxes payable in fiscal year ending June 30, 2007. Ayes: Meyer, Gibbs
