Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St, Elkader, IA. Present: Robert Walke, Neil Meyer, Larry Gibbs
A second public hearing was held to present the final plat of Twin Valley Subdivision and change the current zoning classification of A-1 (Agricultural) to the proposed zoning classification of R-1 (Single Family Residential). Brett Eaton and Monte Burns (Bur-ton Enterprises, LLC) and Joel Biggs representing Health and Zoning department were present. No others were present for comment or objections. Motion made by Walke, seconded by Meyer to approve the second reading and waive the third hearing of the zoning change and final plat of Twin Valley Subdivision. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs

Accepting the final plat of Twin Valley Subdivision
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, a plat of real property hereinafter designated as Twin Valley Subdivision and described as located in Lot 2 in the NW ¼ SW ¼ of Section 22, Township 93 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M., Boardman Township, Clayton County, Iowa,
WHEREAS, Brett Eaton and Monty Burns (Bur-ton Enterprises LLC) as owners of said real property, have executed and acknowledged an instrument consenting to said plat,
WHEREAS, it appears that said plat complies with all requirements of Chapters 354 and 355 of the Code of Iowa,
WHEREAS, the Clayton County Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of said subdivision, affirming that it has complied with all the regulations of Clayton County, Iowa,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Clayton County Board of Supervisors that the Board approves as an official subdivision, the plat of real property to be known as Twin Valley Subdivision, (approximately 36.01acres) situated in Clayton County, Iowa, and described as: located in Lot 2 in the NW ¼ SW ¼ of Section 22, Township 93 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M., Boardman Township, Clayton County, Iowa.
A second hearing was held to approve the preliminary plat for Wiedner Subdivision. No objectors were present. Motion by Walke, seconded by Meyer, to approve the second reading and waive the third hearing for the Wiedner Subdivision preliminary plat. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Sandy Seifert from Scenic Acres was present to discuss replacement of water line and pressure tank at Scenic Acres. The board approved replacement of the water line and pressure tank.
Motion by Meyer, seconded by Walke, to reappoint Larry Gibbs to Upper Explorerland Regional Housing Authority Board-term ending December 31, 2009. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Motion by Meyer, seconded by Walke, to appoint Gene Nevermann to the Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission-term ending December 31, 2008. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Motion by Meyer, seconded by Walke, to appoint Larry Gibbs and Robert Hauber to Upper Explorerland Regional Relending Program Board. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Motion by Meyer, seconded by Walke, to appoint Connie Robbins-Gull and Frank Phippen to the Board of Health-term ending December 21, 2008. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Motion by Meyer, seconded by Walke, to appoint Diane Dickson to the Board of Adjustment-term ending December 31, 2010. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
