Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St, Elkader, IA.
Present: Robert Walke, Neil Meyer, Larry Gibbs
The board approved claims for payment.
Motion by Meyer, seconded by Walke, to appoint Elmer Marting, Monona, IA, to the Clayton County Historic Preservation Commission. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Archetype Design Group, Inc., provided a proposal for the current jail. Tom Chandler, Howard Mayer, Kathy Garms, Betty Walch, Marjorie Costigan, Mary Harstad, Jon Deneui, Jim Walch, Betty Landis and Charles Schiller, all local residents were present to discuss the future of the current jail and this proposal.
The board took no action at this time.
Linda Orr, Treasurer, and Kate Koenig, Mailing Services L.C., Des Moines, IA, met with the Board to discuss purchase of services for printing and mail processing of tax statements. The board took no action pending discussion with the Auditor.
