Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, IA. Present: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
The Board approved claims for payment.
Ron Kulper, Randy Wachendorf and County Engineer, Rafe Koopman were present for a vacation hearing on a portion of right of way along the Great River Road described as Lot 4 of Government Lot 8 in Section 11, Township 91 North, Range 2 West of the 5th P.M. No objections were heard.
Motion by Larry Gibbs, seconded by Robert Walke, to approve resolution # 12-2005 regarding road vacation of Lot 4 of Lot 8 in Section 11 of Millville Township. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Resolution #12-2005 WHEREAS, the Clayton County Board of Supervisors desires to vacate roads that are of little use to the public, WHEREAS, Sections 306.10 through 306.14 of the Code of Iowa has been complied with and the hearing as required by law was held on May 4, 2005, at 11:00 AM at the Supervisors Office in Elkader, Iowa, WHEREAS, no objections have been received, either in writing or by persons present, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Clayton County Board of Supervisors that the following section of road is vacated: To vacate approximately 0.23 acres of excess right of way known as Lot 4 of Government Lot 8 located in the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter in Section 11, Township 91 North, Range 2 West of the 5th P.M. in Clayton County, Iowa. Said right of way is a portion of Project GRS-1715(1)-62-22.
A public hearing was held on a proposed resolution for sale of Lot 4 of Government Lot 8 located in Section 11 of Millville Township. No objections were heard. At the request of Ron Kulper and Randy Wachendorf the transfer of interest in the following resolution is to be made to Randy Wachendorf.
Motion by Larry Gibbs, seconded by Robert Walke, to approve resolution #13-2005 regarding sale of Lot 4 of Government Lot 8 in Section 11 of Millville Township.
Resolution # 13-2005 WHEREAS, Clayton County, has a property interest to the following described real estate:
Lot 4 of Government Lot 8 in Section 11, Township 91 North, Range 2 West of the 5th PM, in Clayton County, Iowa
WHEREAS, the property has been deemed as excess road right of way,
WHEREAS, a vacation hearing notice was published and hearing held immediately prior to this hearing,
WHEREAS, this section of right of way was vacated by the Clayton County Board of Supervisors,
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 331.361(2) of the CODE OF IOWA, 2003, notice of a public hearing is published in the Guttenberg Press on April 27, 2005, for a hearing to be held on May 4, 2005,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that the Board Chairman, Neil Meyer, and County Auditor, Dennis Freitag, be authorized to execute a quit claim deed to Randy Wachendorf for said real estate.
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Walke, to approve a Class C liquor license to Bruce Underwood dba White Springs at 30157 Klein Brewery Road, McGregor. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
