Meeting of the Board of Supervisors in the conference room of the County Office Building held in conjunction with the Clayton County Planning and Zoning Commission.
Board members present: Robert Walke, Larry Gibbs
Planning and Zoning Commission members present: Pat Keleher, Kathy Koether, Francis Thurn, Wayne Bockenstedt, Mark Zwanziger, Owen Sylvester, Keith Mohning and Allen Troester, Mike Oberbroeckling, Zoning Administrator
Mark Zwanziger, Planning and Zoning Commission, chaired the meeting. The item of mutual concern was discussion of proposed changes to the county zoning ordinance to update the ordinance to current day needs. The proposed changes to the zoning ordinance were presented by Kevin Clefisch, Clayton County Attorney, for discussion purposes between the Board of Supervisors and the Planning and Zoning Commission. Items of erosion and sediment control (already in subdivision ordinance so is redundant); design and layout standards of streets (already in subdivision ordinance so is redundant);
improvements required (redundant because of state laws and other county ordinances already regulating, if applicable); Corn suitability rating requirements;
These changes were discussed with the decision to further discuss these and other possible changes in future meetings.
