Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, IA.
Present: Robert Walke, Neil Meyer, Larry Gibbs
A public hearing was held for the construction permit for Keande, LLC, in Monona Township. Kevin Bentien was present at the hearing. No objectors were present. Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to close the hearing. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Cliff Gauldin representing Agriprocessors Company met with the board to present a plan by the Rubashkin family of Postville to contract with farmers to raise chickens for Agriprocessors, the family’s processing plant in Postville.
Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to approve contracts with L. B. Masonry for masonry work, Barbour Building Systems, LLC for modules and Cresco Building Service, Inc. for metal liners/stairs and metal building construction of the Clayton County Law Enforcement Center. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to accept the resignation of Gary Bowden and appoint Fred Heins to the Clayton County Veteran Affairs Commission for the term that expires in 2007. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
