Meeting of the Board of Supervisors in their office on East Bridge St., Elkader.
Present: Meyer, Gibbs, and Walke
Claims were approved for payment.
Brian Gifford brought information to the board comparing insurance coverage on certain items of equipment. After clarification of the comparison, Walke move to switch companies for the boiler coverage, at a savings of $416. in addition the new, lesser premium will provide considerable additional equipment coverage. Gibbs seconded and all voted aye.
Gibbs moved to accept the quarterly reports of Auditor, Recorder and Sheriff. Walke seconded and all voted aye.
Walke moved to re-appoint Bob Hauber to the UERPC's Regional relending Program Board for a one year term ending 12-31-05, and to appoint Larry Gibbs to a one year term on the same board, replacing M. Delores Schultz. Gibbs seconded and all voted aye.
Walke moved to renew the "Elkader Sand Pit" lease with Kuhlman and Sons, for an additional 5 year period, expiring 12-31-09. Gibbs seconded and all voted aye.
County Engineer Rafe Koopman presented an agreement with the DOT to the board for their approval. The project is for a bridge replacement on Mississippi Road in Section 18, Jefferson Twp, at an estimated total cost of $125,000. Walke moved to approve the agreement. Gibbs seconded and all voted aye.
Gibbs moved to approve minutes of January 17. Walke seconded and all voted aye.
Chairman declared meeting adjourned.
