Meeting of Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, Iowa.

Present:  Walke, Meyer, Gibbs

 

The Board approved claims for payment.

Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to approve renewal of the liquor license of Elkader Golf Club, Inc.  Ayes:  Walke, Meyer, Gibbs

 

Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to set the hourly rate of $11.00 per hour for Donna Metzger as the secretary of the Health & Zoning office effective April 1, 2005.  Ayes:  Walke, Meyer, Gibbs

 

Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to adopt by reference Iowa Administrative Code 641, Chapter 68 “Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards”.  Ayes:  Walke, Meyer, Gibbs

 

Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to adopt the “Isolation and Quarantine of Persons with Communicable Disease” policy of the Clayton County Board of Health.  Ayes:

Walke, Meyer, Gibbs

 

On March 14, 2005, motions were passed regarding final plat approval of Breezy Pointe II and Emerald Valley Estates Subdivisions.  The recording of the plats needs a resolution of approval which is just another form of board action thus duplicating their action on March 14, 2005.

 

Resolution #6-2005

 

Accepting the final plat of  Breezy Pointe II Subdivision

 

WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, a plat of real property hereinafter designated as Breezy Pointe II Subdivision and described as:  a subdivision of Lot 98, part of Lot 99, Part of Lot 132, and part of Lot 133 of the Basil Giard Claim Number One, and part of the East Half of Section 20, and the West Half of Section 21, T95N, R3W, also including Lots 27, 28, 30, 31, 34 and 35 of Breezy Pointe Subdivision, all in Clayton County, Iowa,

WHEREAS, Bill Burke as owner of said real property, has executed and acknowledged an instrument consenting to said plat,

WHEREAS, it appears that said plat complies with all requirements of Chapters 354 and 255 of the Code of Iowa,

WHEREAS, the Clayton County Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of said subdivision, affirming that it has complied with all the regulations of Clayton County, Iowa,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Clayton County Board of Supervisors that the Board approves as an official subdivision, the plat of real property to be known as Breezy Pointe II Subdivision, (approximately 109.28 acres) situated in Clayton County, Iowa, and described as:  a subdivision of Lot 98, part of Lot 99, Part of Lot 132, and part of Lot 133 of the Basil Giard Claim Number One, and part of the East Half of Section 20, and the West Half of Section 21, T95N, R3W, also including Lots 27, 28, 30, 31, 34 and 35 of Breezy Pointe Subdivision, all in Clayton County, Iowa.

WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, a plat of real property hereinafter designated as Emerald Valley Estates and described as: a subdivision of part of the NE ¼  SE ¼  of Section 9, part of the SE ¼ SE ¼ of Section 9, part of the NW ¼ NW ¼ of Section 10, part of the SW ¼ NW ¼ of Section 10, part of the NW ¼ SW ¼ of Section 10, and part of the SW ¼ SW ¼ of Section 10;  all in Township 92 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M., Cox
Creek Township, Clayton County, Iowa,

WHEREAS, George Leonard as owner of said real property, has executed and acknowledged an instrument consenting to said plat,

WHEREAS, it appears that said plat complies with all requirements of Chapters 354 and 255 of the Code of Iowa,

WHEREAS, the Clayton County Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of said subdivision, affirming that it has complied with all the regulations of Clayton County, Iowa,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Clayton County Board of Supervisors that the Board approves as an official subdivision, the plat of real property to be known as Emerald Valley Estates Subdivision, (approximately 123.66 acres) situated in Clayton County, Iowa, and described as: a subdivision of part of the NE ¼  SE ¼  of Section 9, part of the SE ¼ SE ¼ of Section 9, part of the NW ¼ NW ¼ of Section 10, part of the SW ¼ NW ¼ of Section 10, part of the NW ¼ SW ¼ of Section 10, and part of the SW ¼ SW ¼ of Section 10;  all in Township 92 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M., Cox
Creek Township, Clayton County, Iowa.

Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to vacate excess right of way in Section 21 of Volga Township along Grandview Road as published.  Ayes:  Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
