Meeting of Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, Iowa.
Present: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Jane Wilke, Rhonda Donlon, and Larry Hauser told the Board that some of the County employee's vehicles had been involved in fender bender/hit and run accidents in the Court House parking lot. The Board suggested trying to have the Court House employees park in the rear lot and leave the front lot for people doing business in the Court House. The Board will also look in to extending the width of the rear parking lot if room is available.
Vicky Bloxum, UERCP presented the Board with the bids for the Elkader Child Care Center. The Board is involved only as the pass through agency for the Development Block Grant. Gibbs moved, Walke seconded a motion to approve the following bid as received. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs. Because the bids were competitive negotiated bids, the Elkader Child Care Center Board will negotiate with the two lowest bidders and accept the bid that is most advantage to the Elkader Child Care Center.
