Meeting of the Board of Supervisors in their office on East Bridge St., Elkader.
Present: Walke, Meyer, and Gibbs.
The board canvassed the results of the December 7 Marquette City Special Election held for the purpose of selecting a councilperson to serve out a term expiring 12-31-05. Total votes of 105 produced the following result:
Amy Abel Diehl 66
Sue Szablewski 39, and Amy Diehl was elected.
Rafe Koopman, County Engineer, brought a 28E agreement regarding maintenance of Farm to Market Extension within the Farmersburg city limits. Gibbs moved to approve the agreement sharing Road Use Tax Funds with Clayton County, in amounts determined by the share of road maintenance each entity is responsible for. Meyer seconded and all voted aye.
Meyer moved to approve and authorize chairman to sign the contract for $2,950,000 with Archetype Design Group, Inc., Leawood, Kansas for building the new jail. Gibbs seconded and all voted aye.
Chairman declared meeting adjourned.
